My name is Donald from Aberdeen I’m caring for my partner Eric, who spent many years working on the rigs. I am trying to carry on as normal just now but really there’s nothing normal about caring for a loved one suffering from Dementia.

I’m thankful that Eric hasn’t lost all his faculties yet, but at times there definitely are moments, I want to thank those at GGAT for giving a platform where the views of carers of those LGBTQ partners or friends can talk openly amongst themselves and I look forward to having future conversations with the group and helping it to grow.
